Educare Arizona is led by a growing team of stakeholders and visionary leaders including the Whiteman Foundation, Ibis Foundation of Arizona, Steve Nash Foundation, Buffett Early Childhood Fund, Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, the Balsz School District and Southwest Human Development. It will be located in the Balsz School District, a high-need, underserved community where 100% of students qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch program. The district is culturally and linguistically diverse with 19 languages spoken in the homes of the 3,000 children in the district, 85% of whom enter kindergarten struggling to speak English.
