Educare Chicago Alumni parent credits Educare for son’s self-confidence
August 27, 2014
Nine-year-old Jeremiah Carter started attending Educare Chicago at 18 months old and continued until he entered kindergarten. Now he is excelling academically and is a Special Olympics Gold Medalist—an accomplishment his mother Taliah Carter says is due in part to the confidence he gained at Educare. Carter chose Educare as an early childhood school for her son, who has Down’s syndrome, because of its “diverse learning environment, its willingness to teach children with special needs and its knowledge and capability to do so.”
“Due to the educational foundation that Jeremiah received at Educare, he is a well-rounded little individual,” Carter said. “As a parent, my involvement with Educare has allowed me to engage and interact with my son on parenting levels that I never could have dreamed of, such as helping him write his first book.”
