The Educare Learning Network invites family support staff from Educare schools across the national Network to participate in this semi‑annual family support webinar that is designed to allow direct‑service staff to connect with peers regarding the work of family support.
Description
The Educare Learning Network invites family support staff from Educare schools across the national Network to participate in the Family Support Spring Webinar. This event is one of two semi-annual webinars (spring and fall) that are specifically designed to allow direct-service staff to connect with peers from other Educare schools regarding the work of family support.
Our Network has been involved in an effort to appreciate current family engagement practices throughout Educare schools and to chart a way forward in designing and implementing effective strategies for intensive family engagement for the future. This year’s webinars continue to provide opportunities for family support staff to experiment with these approaches and to help inform the process. We look forward to you and your colleagues joining us in this effort.
During our Family Support Spring Webinar, we will focus on the family engagement intermediate outcomes for parents and their larger impact on the long-term, outcomes for their children.
In order to accommodate different work schedules and time zones, this family support peer-learning event has been organized so that the webinar will be conducted twice on the same day with the same content. However, staff are asked to participate in only one of these ‘same-content’ webinars. Past feedback from participants has indicated that this is a successful way to maximize the opportunity for attendees to share and discuss their work with each other, given that there are approximately 95 family support staff from all 21 operational Educare schools in the Network.
Please see the list below to find which webinar time your school is encouraged to participate in. If previous commitments do not allow you to participate at the requested time frame, please note that it is okay to register for the other webinar time slot.
10:30am-12pm CST Webinar: Atlanta, Chicago, Central Maine, Miami-Dade, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Tulsa at Kendall-Whittier, Tulsa at MacArthur and Washington, DC, schools.
1:30pm-3pm CST Webinar: Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, Lincoln, Omaha at Indian Hill, Omaha at Kellom, Seattle, California at Silicon Valley, Tulsa at Hawthorne, West DuPage and Winnebago schools.
