Implementation Checklist Webinar

February 21, 2018
1-2:30pm Central Time
Audience: Educare school directors, any staff members that will be involved in the Implementation Checklist self-assessment process and other interested staff.
This webinar will review the Implementation Checklist and the completion process for this self-assessment. It will also provide a valuable opportunity to ask questions and share experiences school staff have had with the checklist as a tool to support continuous quality improvement.
Description
We will review the existing Implementation Checklist (ICL) and have a discussion about the ICL as a tool that school staff can complete for their own highest and best use.
Our intent with this webinar is to encourage schools to reflect on how the checklist can help inform and support continuous quality improvement. The webinar will provide a valuable opportunity to ask questions and share experiences school staff have had with using the ICL tool.
We are working to revamp the existing ICL, but this project will take more time to complete. Anecdotal feedback from schools has informed our understanding that the current checklist promotes reflection, provides opportunities for data-based and interdisciplinary annual planning, and that it still serves a role for schools in their internal processes. We look forward to hearing from you about how your school has used this tool, as well as any questions, or suggestions you might have for your peers.
Audience
- Any new staff from existing or new Educare schools.
- Anyone who is interested in hearing about the ICL.
- Anyone who would like to have a refresher on using the tool as part of your schools continuous quality improvement process this year.
If your school is considering going through an ICL process this year, we often suggest that this tool is best completed by an interdisciplinary team. This team typically includes the school director, preschool master teacher, infant and toddler master teacher and family support supervisor.
We welcome school leaders who have familiarity with the checklist and who are willing to be a resource to peers across the Network who might be new to the tool
