Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Senior Policy Advisor for Early Childhood visits Educare Los Angeles at Long Beach

On June 4, Giannina Perez, California Governor Gavin Newsom’s senior policy advisor for early childhood, visited Educare Los Angeles at Long Beach to tour the site and understand lessons learned from the school’s best practices. She also had the opportunity to learn about other early learning efforts across the city of Long Beach. Perez’s visit to Educare Los Angeles at Long Beach was aimed at helping inform state policy and the governor’s master plan for early childhood development. While at Educare, Giannina Perez engaged directly with Educare teachers and staff, in addition to having a fruitful conversation with other partners on the status of early learning in Long Beach and the school can serve as an example for the rest of California.
